What's the big deal with Jaguar? This is bad advertising for them. Paint is paint. Weight can be removed from other areas. It is not that hard depending the weight is removed without throwing the balance of the car off. Right?

Every bit of weight which can be thrown away should be thrown away! They will be green anyway although it might not be exactly the same shade. Bad advertisement. Doesn't Bernie say any advertisement is good advertisement. In every case, everybody heard about Jaguar now...

Ferrari signed with PPG paint last year, and they said the new paint was worth a .1 of a second a lap!
I am not completely convinced, but people used to think wings on cars were ridulous, so who I am to say?

BAR. Heh.
I think the main problem that Jaguar is dealing with is that the duo-color paint is not slippery enough. Their main goal is to promote the new livery. What a shameless promotion.

Weight reduction in F1 today is done to alow stratigic placement of weights (something that has been done for years in NASCAR).
Perhaps this could assisted by stratigic painting. i.e. thick lusterous green paint lower on the car for a lower center of gravity or more of it on the nose to shift the weight forward. Indy cars could paint the inside of the car with heavy paint (ala BAR) to load the inside of the car on high speed ovals.
What about water absorbent paint to load the rear of the car during rain for more traction? Hey I think I'm on to something here!!

Aren't teams allowed to put weights under the car(not under but very low in the car)??The heavy paint isn't nessesary then.
And waterabsorbing paint? don't think 0.1 kg on the rear will do the difference! Tha paint can't absorbe 100Kg!
