Looking at the new Ferrari engine, a couple of questions come to mind: What path does the air follow from the air intake above and behind the driver's head to the airbox atop the engine? It isn't apparent in the photo. Also the exhaust system appears to be utterly conventional aside from appearing to be fabricated out of titanium. Would they actually run the exhaust in the photo, or would this be made just for the publicity shot? The wider vee angle is apparent in this shot.

I would think that this is not the air box but a protective cover for the fuel induction system from unwanted eyes.
