70 is just a number. To me, he's not getting older...I am! Dan will always be the Dan of the 1960's, to me.
Happy Birthday, Hero!

Happy Birthday !!!
There was a documentary on Dan Gurney which I saw many many years ago, I have no idea what it was called, but I remember his dad at one point in the documentary saying how he enjoyed seeing "the beautiful way in which he drives"... that's nice.
Is there really good biography on Dan Gurney ?

Happy birthday Dan. You gave my dad the sparkplugs from your 2nd place Indy car in 1969. I have it right here on my shelf next to the one Jim Clark gave me from his second place car in 1963. I also still have my Dan Gurney For President sticker and button too. My now vintage 1966 Mustang fastback still has the AAR sticker that was put there 35 years ago. From a former member of the Eagle Club, thanks for the memories.

What do you mean, "Ex-member" of the Eagle Club?
Once in, always in !!!!
I'm one of the older members, number 217, and they started numbering with 100, I think. I joined way back in 1966-67 ? Can't remember and can't find my club card right now, but I know I have it!!
adios amigos
