Another great Enginelabs factory visit - Edelbrock

This one is the inlet manifold casting plant of Edelbrock and three things grabbed me

 

It's rae production foundry, nothing " back street " at all but full volume production, I can't believe so much V8 related stuff fis being bought new in 2022.

 

It's still in California - given the usual portrait of California as bereft of manufacturing it surprises me just how much racing/hot rod stuff is still made there- let alone a huge Tesla plant.

 

As with most of these long time speed parts manufacturers they use really up to date software and  QC tools

BTW there 80 CNC machines in the Edelbrock faciilty in the first video - serious long term investment - maybe the Detroit V-8 isn't dead!
