An article about a plan in Australia to run diesel engines on 8% hydrogen.

I guess with alt the extreme sunshine at Western Australian mines produced the hydrogen i solar  energy should be reliable !

I'm not seeing the sense of Hydrogen fuel in almost any use case where an electric grid is available.

Large Australian companies are on a mandate to reduce CO2 by 4% a year (or something), they really don't have much of a choice but to indulge in this sort of thing. However, specifically hydrogen in diesels is quite a nice 'fit', Harry Watson spent most of his career investigating it.
