Thanks for posting this Bob.

I'm curious now, what was the rev limit in period, and is the 7200 full power revs the limit for this engine or can it be run faster if need/wanted?

The other curiousity I have concerns the 'individually clearanced lash caps instead of the commonly used cylindrical “biscuits.” Is this what we in the MX5 community refer to as 'SUB' - shim-under-bucket - as compared to the factory style of putting the shim in a recess on top of the bucket?  Regardless of the terminology and the location of the shim, the implication in that quote that the 'biscuits' are not individually clearanced must surely be wrong?

A couple of observations - those short trumpets are good for power, but longer would nice to broaden the torque curve (the difficulty with doing that is obvious); I haven't seen that style of fuel line termination before, presumably it gives better flow from a low pressure fuel pump; braided SS is a mongrel thing, it will abrade anything it touches and has no place on an engine like that in a car like that - there are other better ways to get your bling if that is what you want.

The "H" beam rod shown in the article is actually an "X" beam.

Do not know who made it, but it is definitely different from the Lunati version.
