Hello,
I'm hoping someone can help with information about specifics of the 'internals' of the front suspension of the 1997 F310B which, I understand, was built under the technical direction of Ross Brawn and Rory Byrne, based on the previous year's 310 under John Barnard.
There are lots of pictures of the engine, transaxle and rear suspension and of the external front suspension parts. But all I could find of anything 'under the hood' in front is a single, small image of the open access hatch on top of the body from a picture of the car in parts ('exploded view') on the Ferrari website at https://www.ferrari....TNBNzY2NyU3RA==
This is my enlargement of that image.
I'd particularly like to know (a) what the two 'triangular' (that's how they look in the picture) components at the bottom left and right of the picture are as well as the connecting rods on each component and especially (b) if or how these components tie in with the 'real' suspension parts, such as rockers and dampers that - I assume - are located directly under the 'floor' you see when the hatch is open. I believe torsion rods protrude through the circled apertures on either side.
Any information would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Mark
