This video by Jay Leno just turned up-Leno interviews Nethercutt who has re-acquired his old Lotus 19 apparently. (Not impressed with Leno's questions!) I would refer you to the Lotus 19 thread of history but it ain't here anymore!  In that thread I posted photos and correspondence I had with the owner of this Nineteen prior to Nethercutt's recent re-acquiring.  I have to assume from the video that the person I knew and dealt with back in the eighties - Jan Nerheim- is the person referred to in the video as having died and his wife sold the car to Nethercutt.

I just dug out the communication I had with Jan Nerheim in which he gives the full history of 955 as well as other info on #957 (ex Jerry Grant) and also the Team Rosebud 19--with photos of the car after Ireland had been extracted from the wreck.  Jan Nerheim was a turn worker and was on the scene immediately and photographed the wrecked Team Rosebud 19.

I am usure what to do with this info and photos.  Any suggestions?

Fortunately I referred to the previous thread in yet another thread...

So the URL of the previous thread is available - https://forums.autos...19-monte-carlo/

But the thread isn't!

This one is - https://forums.autos...atich-lotus-19/ - but it's not very helpful at all, though the Primotipo article linked in post No 26 has material drawn from the missing thead - https://primotipo.com/2017/09/08/bay-of-plenty-road-race-and-the-frank-matich-lotus-19s/

Happily, that thread is archived:

Coincidentally, it is 19 pages.

During the interview Nethercutt suggests "17 Lotus 19's built, only three left".

Even account for fakes, replicas and the like, surely there are more than that?

While Ray's link to the archived version does work, it is not the complete thread, which was removed and placed in the forum's private archive at the request of Autosport's management in September 2020, apparently after a threat of legal action. It had been revived earlier that year and a total of 55 further posts had been made.

Tim and I were not privy to any discussion of this - and were not involved in removing it, which was done by an Autosport employee. Suffice it to say that it was someone above our (non-) pay grade, acting on instructions from Autosport's lawyers.

I would therefore request that members are VERY careful about what they post regarding this car.

Vitesse2 are you referring to chassis #955?

As far as I can see in the referenced archived thread, there is nothing therein which would warrant such action from Forum Management.

Once again, the archived thread didn't include a lot of posts...

It was, presumably, these latter posts which caused the problem.
