I've been reading quite a bit about sports prototype racing, particularly in 1970 and 1971 when drivers like Pedro Rodriguez challenged circuits like the old Spa in the amazing Porsche 917.

However, apart from Steve McQueen's fictional Le Mans, I've never much film/video of this classic era - does anyone know if there is anything available?

Go to this website, check out the videos section, and you will see that there is a video on the JW Gulf GT40s and 917s. Its a good video from what I hear. Some in car footage. Also if you like old circuits, "In Car 956" is fantastic as well but diff. era. BTW that is my fav. era in motorsports as well.

Some 1970-71 era video will be incorporated into our new Motorfilms Quarterly videos and CDs which are under final edit right now...is it done to advertise in these columns - or have I just committed a terrible faux pas?
